BLVCKOUT is a community-maintained catalogue of DVD release metadata. It stores records and source links, not video files.

What belongs here

Release titles, studio credits, genres, performer credits, release years, barcodes and links to front and back cover images. Keep records factual, source-specific and respectful. No downloads, video uploads, private personal information or unlawful content.

Sources & image links

Published source material is not automatically free to republish. Contributors must have permission or another applicable basis to submit the metadata and image links. Preserve the source release URL. Images remain on external hosts; BLVCKOUT does not automatically download or rehost them.

Contributions

By contributing, you grant BLVCKOUT permission to store, display and distribute your submitted metadata through its website and API. Only contribute material you may share. Third-party rights remain with their respective owners. Every proposed release and edit is reviewed before publication, and published changes retain an attributed history.

Accounts & privacy

Accounts store your email address, public username, password hash, role, verification state and contribution history. Email addresses are not published. Passwords and API keys are never stored as plain text. API keys have an expiry and can be revoked. Essential session cookies are used for sign-in; there are no advertising trackers.

Corrections & removal

Use the edit proposal workflow for factual corrections. When requesting a correction or removal, identify the release, the material concerned and the basis of the request so a moderator can assess it.

API use

API use requires a verified account and a valid key. Do not share keys, circumvent rate limits, or use the service to distribute prohibited content. Metadata availability is community-dependent; no source has complete coverage.
